Bolzano: Feels sick at night and desperately asks for help. Elderly lady in serious difficulty rescued by State Police

At night, around 01.00, through the emergency number "112 NUE” has arrived at the Police Headquarters Operations Centre a report from a neighbor of aold woman and with a very urgent request for help in Viale Europa.

A crew of the "Flying" team of the State Police, having arrived at the indicated location in a few moments, immediately contacted the applicant, who reported having heard some moans coming from the apartment below.

I Policemen, then, without wasting a moment they headed towards the entrance door of the indicated house, through which they clearly heard a desperate cry for help come from within.

After managing to open the door, the Police Officers entered the apartment, where, in the living room, they found themselves in front of a old lady slumped in an armchair, who said she felt disoriented as she walked to the bathroom.

A team of people were immediately brought to the scene Ambulance and Health Personnel, who provided the lady with first aid and then decided to transport her to the Emergency room so that further, more in-depth investigations can be carried out.

In the meantime, the police managed to get in touch with thehome assistant of the lady, which has provided for contact a family member so as to enable him to take care of the woman.

This prompt and timely report from a neighbor has allowed, once again, the State Police to intervene promptly for provide help and assistance to an elderly lady in serious difficulty, thus avoiding the situation from degenerating into a tragic situation.

"An elderly woman in serious psychological and physical difficulty was rescued thanks to the timely request for intervention made to us by a neighbor and the prompt and effective intervention of the Police Officers on duty at the Flying Squad – highlighted the Police Chief of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano Paolo Sartori.

I would like to personally and publicly thank this woman for the remarkable civic sense demonstrated on this occasion, as well as commend the professionalism and sensitivity shown by the Police officers on this occasion too.
