Bolzano: the action of closeness and support to the Ukrainian Police continues, strongly desired by the Chief of Police, General Director of Public Security, Prefect Vittorio Pisani.

After the initiative last June at the State Police club in Tor di Quinto (Rome), another particularly awaited and significant moment is taking place in Merano.

The International Relations staff area and the State Police Assistance Fund are hosting 10 Ukrainian children, aged between 7 and 12, who will spend a week in South Tyrol and stay at the “Stifterhof” Castle, a mountain holiday centre of the State Police.

The little ones – coming from the regions of Donetsk, Kharkiv and Kiev, children of Ukrainian police officers involved in the fighting on the Donbass front during the ongoing war – will spend a peaceful period with their mothers, far from the horrors and privations of the conflict that has been afflicting Ukraine for two and a half years.

Thanks also to the fundamental contribution of the Bolzano Police Headquarters, a series of events and activities have been organised to make the period spent in the Alto Adige region interesting, educational and engaging, and this is also thanks to the sensitivity and availability of local bodies, associations and companies such as the South Tyrol Museum of Archaeology, the MUSE of Trento, the Merano Thermal Baths, the Merano Hippodrome, the “Loacker” and the “Thun”, Company partner of the State Police for years.

The Police Chief of the Province of Bolzano Paolo Sartori, during an event organized at the “Stifterhof” Castle in the presence of the Deputy Mayor Dr. Zeller, the local Authorities and the Senior Director of the State Police Dr. Eufemia Esposito, Advisor for International Relations to the Chief of Police, greeted the young guests wishing them as peaceful and joyful a stay as possible.

Dr. Eufemia Esposito, in extending the greetings of the Chief of Police, addressed to her colleague Olena Laschuk, responsible for Ukrainian international relations, and to all those present her best wishes for a rapid conclusion to the conflict and the testimony of the concrete support of the State Police, an institution that symbolizes the defense of the principles of freedom and the inviolable rights of the person.

Bolzano: prosegue l'azione di vicinanza e supporto alla Polizia ucraina fortemente voluta dal Capo della Polizia, Direttore generale della Pubblica Sicurezza, Prefetto Vittorio Pisani.
