In the late afternoon of Friday, during the usual general prevention and control services of the territory, while passing through the area, a patrol of the "Flying" Squad of the State Police was sent from the Operations Center of the Police Headquarters inside the “Vintler” Park, following a request for intervention received on the emergency number "112 NUE”, carried out by a healthier skin afraid and he complained that he had just been robbed by a person, probably of North African origin, who was still nearby.

Having promptly arrived at the indicated place, the "Volanti" crews first contacted the applicant - who in the meantime had hidden behind a wall – who indicated to the Agents the man who had robbed him shortly before; immediately, the indicated subject came stopped, put in a position to do no harm and made to board the Police "Panther".

The young victim, who had calmed down at that point, told the police what had happened to him: while he was sitting on a bench in the park with two of his other friends, the robber had first approached them in a calm manner, and then intimate him in a threatening manner to give him the necklace around his neck.

After the young student's refusal, the criminal takes it from him he tore it off forcefully, and, not satisfied, he also demanded that the ring that the young man had on his finger was also handed over.

When the victim refused, the same criminal tried to snatch it from his fingers, only to then have to give up as the ring got stuck between his fingers.

At that point the student, scared, tried to make him give up his intentions by offering him one of his drinks, but the robber made matters worse, threatening to have a gun with you and to call his other accomplices if the boy had not also given him his sunglasses and his baseball cap.

Terrified of threats and from what happened, the boy, afterwards having given the criminal what he demanded, ran away with his 2 friends, and, hidden behind a wall, they decided to contact the Police.

Pressed by the agents, the robber – identified for this ZM, 19 year old homeless man with numerous criminal and/or police records, especially for crimes against property, Italian citizen of Maghreb origins – admitted to having robbed the young victim of everything described above. The stolen objects were taken over by the Police and immediately returned to the boy.

Therefore ZM, after being taken to the Largo Palatucci offices for investigations by the Judicial Police, at the end of the same was declared in arrest for the crime of aggravated robbery and translated at the Bolzano Prison available to the Judicial Authority.

Having assessed the precedents against him and the seriousness of what happened, the Police Commissioner of the Province of Bolzano Paolo Sartori issued against him the Personal Prevention Measure of the Mandatory Street Sheet, provided for by the Code of Anti-Mafia Laws, with Ban on returning to the Municipality of Bolzano for the next 4 years, which will become operational upon his release from prison.

"Thanks to the timely request for help made by a young robbery victim, it was possible to bring a repeat criminal to justice - Commissioner Sartori highlighted –. It is essential to respond immediately to citizens' requests, acting quickly to identify and bring to justice those who, with their conduct, go beyond the law and the common rules of civil coexistence.".
