Bolzano, Algerian repeat offender wrecks car and steals in hospital parking lot.

A student from the Claudiana University of Bolzano contacts the emergency number and reports the presence of a man who was Devastating some cars in the hospital parking lot for to steal what was inside.

The girl, after having taken precautions to avoid being noticed, monitored the criminal's movements, reporting in real time to the police the information useful for identifying and stopping him.

I Policemen they arrived in a few moments and have suspect arrested.

The officers, after having noted the damage to the windows of 2 cars – a SEAT IGNIS and a FIAT 500 X –, they immediately proceeded to recover the stolen goods and return them to the owners.

The man has been identified as ZM, 45 year old Algerian homeless and with the status of political asylum. He was already known to the police for crimes against property and for a sexual violence commissioned in 2021.

Some videos recorded by the student and some of his fellow students who witnessed the events confirmed the fact.

After being taken to the police station, ZM was arrested for the crime of aggravated theft. He is held in the Police Headquarters' Security Rooms and is placed at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor's Office pending the Process per direttissima.

The Police Chief of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano Paolo Sartori has urged the Territorial Commission for Refugees to revoke in ZM the regime of international protection, in order to be able to issue a notice to him Expulsion Decree from the National Territory.

“The timely request for police intervention by a young student was essential in identifying and arresting a convicted serial criminal – Commissioner Sartori highlighted –. The episode clearly demonstrates the importance of reporting to the police any potentially dangerous illegal situation, in order to prevent the commission of crimes and bring to justice those who have made crime their lifestyle”.
