Bolzano: Drunk Man Attacks Restaurant Owner to Get Drinks and Insults Officers
Police report foreign offender.
Bolzano: Drunk man attacks restaurateur to get a drink and insults officers.
A call to the Police Headquarters Operations Center, using the emergency number “112 NUE”, to report a violent fight taking place in Piazza Verdi.
The crews of the State Police “Flying Squad”, who arrived in a few moments at the reported location, immediately noticed a man who, at the sight of the Police, tried to disappear to avoid being checked.
Immediately stopped and, with no small amount of difficulty, secured in the passenger compartment of the “Volante”, the subject began to violently swear at the intervening officers.
The person requesting the intervention, the owner of a restaurant in the area, reported that shortly before the man stopped had gone to his establishment to consume alcoholic substances.
Since the subject already appeared to be in an altered psycho-physical state, the owner himself refused to further administer drinks of this type.
When the shopkeeper refused, the individual assumed a hostile attitude, persisting in his demands.
After yet another refusal, a heated argument ensued, which then escalated into a physical assault, during which the business owner suffered a leg injury.
The non-EU citizen, without any identity documents, was therefore taken to the Police Headquarters, where he was identified as NA, a 24-year-old Moroccan national with numerous criminal and/or police records against him, including brawling, drug dealing, damage and aggravated theft.
At the end of the Judicial Police formalities, NA was reported to the Public Prosecutor's Office for the crimes of contempt and resistance to a Public Official, as well as for voluntary personal injury.
The Police Commissioner of the Province of Bolzano Paolo Sartori, therefore, in consideration of the seriousness of what happened, has issued a warning against the subject an Expulsion Decree, with a contextual Expulsion Order from the National Territory.
