Bressanone: State Police arrests the two former police officers stopped and reported days ago for possession of weapons, jewelry, money and police uniforms
The investigations against the two individuals identified and reported in Bressanone because they were found in possession of original materials and other materials purposely falsified in such a way as to make them illegally identified as members of the State Police proceed with the arrest in flagrante delicto of the two Ex-Policemen, which occurred after a search carried out in the homes of both individuals. Further investigations are still ongoing.

In evening of January 5, 2025, upon conclusion of further investigative inquiries, the State Police Agents on duty at the Public Safety Police Station of Bressanone, assisted by personnel from the Piedmont Railway Police Department, gave execution of a personal and local search warrant issued by the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Court of Bolzano against the two former Police officers now retired stopped in Bressanone and reported last December 30 for possession and abuse of official identification plates and the manual signalling badge (so-called “paletta”) of the Police, as well as for the possession of false badges attributable to membership of the State Police.
During the police activities carried out in Turin, at the home of the man - a 63 year old AR who already had crime reports against him - the following were found and seized:
• 1 Beretta 7,65 caliber semi-automatic pistol, never reported, with magazine inserted and 5 rounds ready to be used;
• 1 Beretta pistol, identical reproduction of the original without the red cap;
• 1 original State Police uniform;
• 1 fake identification card of a member of the State Police;
• 34.000 Euros in cash of suspicious origin;
• Various “ROLEX” watches and other luxury brands, as well as computer equipment, also of suspicious origin
• 3 cell phones and 1 iPad with the same number of SIM cards.
At the woman's house – a certain SG, also a 60-year-old former policewoman who recently retired – the following were found and seized:
• 3 9×19 caliber bullets
• Numerous complete original State Police Uniforms
• 10 Cell phones with multiple SIM cards.
At the end of the Judicial Police proceedings the man was arrested in flagrante delicto for the crimes of money laundering and illegal possession of a firearm, while the woman was arrested for receiving stolen goods and illegal possession of war ammunition.
Both, at the end of the judicial police proceedings, were associated with the “Lorusso e Cotugno” prison in Turin, available to the Public Prosecutor.
The Police Chief of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano, Paolo Sartori, for the same reasons, ordered the Personal Prevention Measure of the Oral Warning of Public Safety against those arrested, preliminary to the subsequent request for the application of Special Surveillance.
Further investigations are still underway to ascertain the origin of the money and luxury goods seized from the couple, as well as to verify evidence regarding the possible connection of the two individuals with criminal circles.
"The continuation of the investigative activities carried out in an excellent manner by the Agents of the Public Safety Commissioner of Bressanone has allowed us to obtain further, important developments following the identification, last December 30, of two individuals in possession of counterfeit materials and documents, or of illicit origin, which falsely attested their membership in the State Police - declared Police Chief Sartori -. It is now a matter of ascertaining any connections of the couple with the world of organized crime, as well as the origin of what was seized".
