Both were accompanied to the Carabinieri barracks in Bressanone for further investigations.

The nanny (tagesmutter) was subsequently taken to the emergency room, where tests revealed a blood alcohol level exceeding 3 grams per litre, a level extremely high which seriously endangers health and seriously compromises motor and cognitive abilities.

At the end of the medical checks, the woman was reported to the judicial authority for the crime of abandonment of a minor e fined for drunkenness.

Meanwhile, it was contacted the child's mother, who quickly rushed to the barracks. Astonished and deeply shaken by what had happened, the woman hugged her daughter again, expressing deep gratitude to the military for their timely intervention.

The commander of the Carabinieri Company of Bressanone, Captain Ottavio Tosoni, in commenting on the episode, wanted to underline the social and human value of the work carried out by the military, even outside of service hours. “This intervention shows how our Carabinieri are always ready to intervene, regardless of the circumstances. The safety of citizens, and even more so that of children, is an absolute priority for us. It is the sense of duty and responsibility that makes our role in society so important,” he said.
