A 32-year-old Moroccan with no fixed abode, presents himself at the Immigration Office in Bolzano to request a Residence Permit, but turns out to be a fugitive, with an Order of Imprisonment issued for aggravated robbery in competition. The State Police arrested the foreign robber and Police Chief Sartori also issued him with a Decree of Expulsion from the National Territory, which will become effective upon his release from prison.

Yesterday afternoon, the Agents of the Mobile Squad of the State Police, in collaboration with their colleagues from the Immigration Office, arrested a certain AMY, a 32-year-old Moroccan citizen with no fixed abode and with various criminal and/or police records against him.
The man had presented himself at the Immigration Office of the Police Headquarters where he had an appointment to request the renewal of his Residence Permit; here, following a check carried out at the Database of the Ministry of the Interior, it emerged that he had a pending Order of Imprisonment to serve a sentence of 2 years and 4 months of imprisonment., following a final conviction issued by the Court of Bolzano for the crime of aggravated robbery in competition, an act committed in June 2023 against a young man near a hotel in the center.
At the end of the Judicial Police proceedings the arrested fugitive was taken to the local prison, where he will serve the expected sentence.
The Police Commissioner of the Province of Bolzano Paolo Sartori, in consideration of what has emerged, has an expulsion order from the national territory was issued against him; it will become effective upon his release from prison.
"The search, identification and arrest of fugitives represents one of the priorities in the operational actions of the State Police - commented Police Chief Sartori - and is aimed at making the sentences of conviction issued by the Judicial Authority enforceable, ensuring Justice for individuals who refuse to respect the laws of our Country and putting them in a position to undertake a re-educational path that can, once the sentence has been served, allow them to reintegrate into the community.".
