Bolzano: the perpetrator of the damage and defacement of the entrance to the provincial council has been identified and reported by DIGOS.

At the conclusion of the investigations that had begun since the previous dawn following the reports received by the Operations Center of the Police Headquarters regarding a visible defacement and damage with red paint of the steps leading to the entrance of the building that houses the Provincial Council of Bolzano, the Agents of the Division of General Investigations and Special Operations (DIGOS) of the State Police, assisted by the specialists of the Scientific Police, identified and reported to the Judicial Authority this TDA, a 36-year-old from Bolzano belonging to the anarchist-insurrectionist area active in our Region and already reported, in the past, for crimes connected to illegal initiatives and demonstrations organized by the local anarchist group.

The outcome of the investigation is the result of the analysis of the document left on site by the perpetrator of the act at the time of the vandalism - in which explicit reference is made to the anniversary of what happened in Israel and the Middle East starting from October 7 of last year -, the viewing of the video surveillance systems - which allowed us to reconstruct the dynamics of what happened at approximately two in the morning, when a completely disguised and face-covered individual poured a bucket of paint at the entrance to the Provincial Palace - and the findings of the Scientific Police on the footprints left by the perpetrator's shoes when leaving Piazza Magnago.

In light of what happened, the outcome of the investigations and the previous police records against this individual, the Police Commissioner of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano Paolo Sartori has urgently ordered the initiation of the procedure by the Anti-Crime Division of the Police Headquarters, aimed at issuing, against TDA, the Personal Prevention Measure of the Oral Warning of Public Safety, provided for by the Anti-Mafia Law Code.
