Bolzano: enters a pizzeria and attacks the managers, criminal from Bolzano reported

A 33-year-old man from Bolzano was reported by the State Police for insulting and threatening a Public Official, illegal possession of objects capable of offending, aggravated threats and damage. The man, entering a pizzeria, allegedly attacked the managers and, after the arrival of the Police officers, also insulted and threatened them. Police Chief Sartori issued a Personal Prevention Measure against the 33-year-old.

Late Sunday afternoon a call came into the Police Headquarters Operations Centre, through the emergency number "112 NUE", for a report regarding an aggressive and violent individual who was throwing a tantrum towards two brothers who run a pizzeria in via PalermoThe crews of the State Police “Flying Squad”, who arrived in a few moments at the reported location, were able to reconstruct what had happened by listening to the stories of the two victims: shortly before, in fact, an individual - later identified as TL, a 33-year-old from Bolzano with numerous criminal and/or police records for crimes of various nature and severity - had entered the Pizzeria with a harassing and provocative attitude, probably dictated by the evident state of alcohol abuse in which he was. For this reason, and given the significant influx of customers registered at that time inside the public establishment, the owners had invited the individual to move away, in order to prevent him from continuing to disturb the other customers.

In response, TL, after leaving the Pizzeria, went to an adjacent bar, where he then furtively stole a glass ashtray placed on a table outside the premises; then, after returning to the Pizzeria, he violently threw the ashtray in the direction of the two brothers, fortunately hitting the upright of the shop window.

When TL had gone away in an attempt to disappear, one of the two owners of the Pizzeria had followed him until another crew of the “Flying Squad” arrived. After being stopped, Even towards the Policemen TL continued to maintain a hostile attitude, threatening and insulting the Agents in the presence of numerous people who came to witness the scene.

In light of what happened and what was ascertained, at the end of the Judicial Police proceedings the 33-year-old from Bolzano was reported to the Public Prosecutor's Office for the crimes of insulting and threatening a Public Official, illegal possession of objects capable of causing offence, aggravated threats and damage.

The Police Chief of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano, Paolo Sartori, therefore, in consideration of the gravity of what happened, issued against him the Personal Prevention Measure of the Oral Warning of Public Safety, provided for by the Anti-Mafia Law Code, preliminary to the subsequent request for the application of Special Surveillance.
