Five people reported, during the territory control services in the Immaculate Conception Bridge, carried out on the occasion of the Bolzano markets.
This is the balance of the activities strengthened by the Police Commissioner Giuseppe Ferrari with the implementation of specific extraordinary services in mode "High Impact", in which they took part Carabinieri, Guardia di Finanza, Municipal Police and Army soldiers, in order to monitor the markets of the capital.
The activities were concentrated in Old Town, in particular Erbe Square, Dr. Streiter Street, Cappuccini Street, Dominican Square, Parish Square, Wolkenstein Street, as well as in other areas of the city such as Park of Religions, Via Palermo, Piazza Mazzini and Piazza Ziller.
The first significant intervention took place on the evening of Friday, when the staff of the Guardia di Finanza, engaged in the joint evening service in Piazza Domenicani, noticed a person brandishing a beer bottle in a threatening manner.
The Guardia di Finanza soldiers intervened immediately. they blocked the man, they disarmed him and accompanied him to the police station for identification.
The subject, 37 year old Moroccan citizen, with a police record and regular on the territory of the State, was reported for carrying an object capable of causing offenceThe Immigration Office will initiate the procedure to revoke the residence permit against him.
In the day of Saturday, staff of Flying Squad intervened in a commercial establishment of Walther Square, where a man had been stopped by security personnel with unpaid merchandise. The police recovered the stolen goods – several items of clothing worth several hundred euros – found in a shielded bag, and they reported a 51-year-old Georgian citizen, asylum seeker with a criminal record.
Also on Saturday, the State Police intervened in Grano Square for the report of a troublesome citizen. The man was identified shortly afterward on Via Portici – 36-year-old Romanian citizen, with a criminal record for property crimes – was found in possession of two bottles of alcohol with anti-theft plates. In the absence of plausible explanations, it was reported for receiving stolen goods.
In the day of Sunday, Flying Squad officers intervened at a supermarket in the industrial area, where a security guard had stopped a young man with a backpack full of stolen goods. The officers arrested the criminal, who had attempted to escape by pushing the employee.
The young man, 26 year old Tunisian citizen, asylum seeker and with a criminal record, was reported for attempted theft and failure to comply with the expulsion order.
Finally, yesterday evening, the Flying Squad proceeded to check a vehicle in the historic centre 45-year-old Moroccan citizen, with previous convictions: the check revealed that she was burdened by a mandatory expulsion order from Bolzano, which is why it came reported at liberty.
Overall, the checks led to identify approximately 250 people.
