The intensification of controls, supported by the joint operation with "High Impact" of all law enforcement agencies, ordered by the Police Chief of Bolzano Giuseppe Ferrari, in the most sensitive areas of the city centre - such as Erbe Square, Berloffa Park, Cappuccini Street, Wolkestain Street, Parish Square, Dominican Square, as well as in other areas of the Municipality such as Via Palermo, Piazza Mazzini, Piazza Ziller, Park of Religions, along the Isarco and Talvera rivers —also led to important results last weekend: the arrest of one person and the reporting of 11 others.

Specifically, on Sunday night, State Police personnel, employed in the usual control service of the urban area of ​​Bolzano, intervened in Cappuccini Street, in support of the Army personnel, who had just stopped a violent non-EU citizen.

The subject, a man of the Bangladesh, already known to the police for his previous convictions, altered by the intake of alcohol and narcotic substances, at the sight of the operators he lunged at them trying to hit them with kicks and punches and, even once loaded into the patrol car, he continued his violent action by repeatedly hitting the inside of the vehicle.

Thanks to the reconstruction of the military and the viewing of the images from the municipal cameras, the police found out that the individual, shortly before, he had attempted to attack a passerby to steal the banknotes she had in her bag and her cell phone.

The subject, an asylum seeker, was then arrested for robbery and resisting a public official, and transferred to prison by order of the Judicial Authority.

The weekend checks also led to the complaint from 11 people, Including:

  • three Moroccan citizens for evading house arrest, interrupting public service at the Emergency Room and failure to comply with the mandatory expulsion order;

  • an Italian citizen, a Ukrainian and an Albanian, for separate attempted aggravated thefts against commercial establishments in the centre;

  • a Tunisian and a man from Burkina Faso, both non-compliant with the ban on returning to the Municipality of Bolzano;

  • a Romanian citizen, non-compliant with the Dacur;

  • an Iranian citizen, for having served alcoholic beverages to a minor under 16 years of age in his establishment;

  • an Albanian citizen, caught drunk while driving his car.

In total they have been checked 255 Guests just this past weekend.

The extraordinary checks confirm the effectiveness of the prevention and enforcement activities carried out by the Bolzano Police Headquarters. The results are the fruit of a coordinated action. coordinated and widespread di State Police, Carabinieri, Guardia di Finanza, Municipal Police and Army, an activity that will continue with the same intensity also in view of the Christmas markets.
