Bolzano, three expulsions ordered by the Police Chief: thieves caught red-handed and one inmate repatriated.

The Police Chief of Bolzano Giuseppe Ferrari issued three expulsion orders against the same number of foreign citizens in the last two days.

The first one concerns a Albanian citizen, detained at the Bolzano prison, for whom expulsion was applied as an alternative measure to detention.

The man, with various criminal records and responsible for numerous home burglaries, will not be able to return to Italy for ten years, under penalty of arrest. He was accompanied by Immigration Office agents to Malpensa airport and then boarded a flight to Tirana.

The other two measures concern a Libyan and an Tunisian, stop after a attempted night-time theft in a condominium on Via Positano.

A report to the Operations Room allowed the officers to intervene immediately and surprise the two while they were trying to to get rid of a pickaxe, used to attempt entry into the building.

Both were taken to the Police Headquarters where, thanks to the investigations of the Immigration Office, it emerged that they were irregulars on the national territory.

In addition to the complaint for unjustified possession of burglary tools, they were given the following:immediate expulsion, with accompaniment to CPR of Turin and Gorizia.

Police Chief Ferrari underlined the crucial role of the collaboration of citizens, whose timely reporting made it possible to arrest two individuals potentially dangerous to the safety of homes.
