Ascoli Piceno: Attempts suicide from Ponte Nuovo, woman saved by Local Police

Attempts to jump into the void, woman saved by the Local Police of Ascoli Piceno. It was around 13pm when a fifty-year-old woman from San Benedetto del Tronto attempted to throw herself off the Ponte Nuovo in the Porta Tufilla area. The woman, in an evident state of confusion, had already leaned towards the void and only the providential intervention of a patrol of the Local Police, which was passing by at that moment and having noticed the danger, averted the worst. Despite her repeated intention to end it all, the officers managed to grab her and make her desist. The fifty-year-old, once secured and reassured by qualified personnel, was entrusted to the care of the 118 health workers who intervened for the necessary checks.
