At the Mysterious Baths of Milano Luigi Lo Cascio rediscovers the moon
At the Bagni Misteriosi the debut of the great theater starts on 8 July by Luigi LoCascio who with “Ask the Moon” wanted to pay homage to the great Pirandello. “Now that we are back on the streets, after this forced isolation, everything that once seemed obvious to us instead appears new to us, as if it had never been seen, never experienced – explains LoCascio himself – I believe it will be like this, returning to the theater and listening to the words of the great authors: they will seem even newer, even more mysterious. For this reason, accepting the exciting and affectionate invitation of the Franco Parenti Theater to meet together outdoors to listen to what the poets invent, it came natural to me to propose Pirandello's novel "Ciaula discovers the moon", the story of a young miner always a prisoner of the bowels of the earth, a "caruso" who, suddenly emerging from his dark prison, finds himself facing the Moon. He discovers it and is amazed. We too will perhaps be able to rediscover it, one evening in July, through the voice of some writers (including Consolo, Leopardi, Bufalino), especially Sicilian, who sing of their abandonments, their amazement 'in seeing the moon again'”.
