Maione and Bambinella also conquered Milano
Maione and Bambinella also conquered Milano.
What a success with the warm public Milano encountered “Mettici la Mano”, the Neapolitan comedy written by Maurizio De Giovanni, directed by Alessandro D'Alatri and dedicated to Brigadier Maione (Antonio Milo) and Bambinella (Adriano Falivene) with the very young Elisabetta Mirra. The show, staged at the Menotti theater and which will return to Lombardy (Cesano Boscone, Cesano Maderno and Brugherio the next stages) is a tribute to two of the most beloved characters of the Inspector Ricciardi series, first a literary success by De Giovanni and then a television success on rai one. «The Milanese public has given us so much – Antonio Milo said in the margin – and it always happens, not only with this text». The story is set in the Naples of the War, of the Allied bombings and retains within itself all the colors and sensations of a people like the Neapolitan one made even more miserable after Fascism. Here too we start from a bloody event and from an investigation now concluded with the arrest by Maione of the person responsible for a brutal crime. But he is not the one in the center, as in Commissioner Ricciardi. At the center is the enormous humanity of Maione and Bambinella which, between hilarious back and forth, hides all the beauty of being there and in that moment.
Even in the ugliness around. We've seen them both many times on TV to tone down the noir tale of the tormented Commissioner who talks to the murdered dead, we loved them. But live, in the theater, the magic is increased to the nth degree. Maione and Bambinella, together with the talented Melina who kills out of necessity, for life, dialogue with the public and never leave them alone. The show is truly worth seeing and whether you know Ricciardi or have never read or seen it. «Television generally doesn't help theater – said Adriano Falivene who has grown in a superlative way in the character of Bambinella – but in this case he did it and we are eternally grateful to that medium». There is no shortage of applause and laughter.
