Campomaggiore Vecchio (PZ), the Cabaret Festival begins.
Will take place Friday August 5, in Campomaggiore Vecchio (City of Utopia), the first edition of the Cabaret, Comic Short Film and Book Festival “They are very funny”.
The event, organized by the cultural association “LA FABBRICA DEL TEATRO” as part of the “LUCANO RIDENS” event, is conceived and will be conducted and presented by the comic trio “The Ricotta”.
The appointment will start at 18.30 with a masterclass on comic writing held by a film critic, Domenico Palattella. Following will be the presentation of the book "Renzo Montagnani. A free man” published by Dellisanti editore. Give her 21.00 hours then the Festival will begin which will see several cabaret artists perform and some short films made by aspiring comedians will be screened.
The performances and short films will be judged by a special technical jury which will decide the winner of this first edition of the Festival.
«We wanted to create a moment of leisure and entertainment by putting aspiring comedians and future stand-up comedians on stage», say Tonino Centola, Peppino Centola and Mario Ierace de “The Ricotta”, who this time, as talent scouts, will leave space for those who want to express themselves on stage (or on video) with the aim of "making people smile".
«Which is not always easy», as explained by the three comedy veterans who, after having performed on important national stages (from Zelig to Made in Sud), are now ready to «send into turmoil» new cabaret artists.
«The hope is that this year is only the first of many editions of the Festival which we would like to become a permanent event», explained Tonino, Peppino and Mario who, during the evening of August 5th, will not miss some sketches that have made "La Ricotta" become a national brand of laughter.
